Isolation is the anti-toxin of love [8 syllable meter]

I reject your intimacy

Not with fear, but righteous disgust

I abhor this intricacy

A strangling spiderweb of lust

Your charms are no longer charming

That smile as coldly disarming

As Polaris nukes left to rust

A north star no wise man follows

Liminal limerence, unjust

Lies, criminal interference

Of the heart, whose breakage hollows

My trust like diamonds on clearance

Youth picks its wounds, age heals faster

Inured to bitter pill swallows

I am always my own master
